We have a small house in IJmuiden (North Holland) located directly at the Noordzeekanaal (North Sea Canal, Nordseekanal) in the Netherlands. This is the entryway for all ships going to the port of Amsterdam from the North Sea.

Ship Traffic

With my AIS receiver I am monitoring the ship traffic in the IJmuiden area. The data is delivered to Fleetmon, Marinetraffic and Vesselfinder. Some details are in this post.
